What a whirlwind! Two weeks ago we found out that Case received another year of eligibility at UofH and then a week later he proposes! It has been absolutely the best two weeks of my life! I seriously can't believe that I am typing this with a ring on my finger. That is what brings me to the purpose of this blog. I am not in to blogging nor do I even like to read other peoples blogs. But, I am going to give it a try in hopes that it will be a better way for me to communicate with everyone of what all is going on!
So far we are getting married at Beltway, having a reception at T&P, Lindsey Cotton is my photographer, Mark Fowler my videographer, my Aunt is going to do the flowers, Mikado is our preacher, I bought a dress not 24 hours after I got engaged (which kind of freaked Case out, I think he thought we were going to get engaged and then just get married a few months later with no stress or planning to do....), asked just about everyone to be in my wedding, set a date for June 11, 2011, still looking for a caterer (but might have a sweet deal with the culinary school that is at T&P right now, Allison take notes next Saturday!!), we have an awesome cake lady, the beginning of a website, and potentially someone to sing! Whew!!!!! AND I just got engaged!
So now that all that big stuff is taken care of my goal in all of this is to truly just enjoy every minute of the engagement, without stressing or worrying about every little detail. I am so excited to spend extra time with my best friends and family in preparation for my wedding day. I am so excited to start counseling with Mikado and Shaundra, learning more about Case and myself of how can we be better examples of a Godly relationship.
I am truly so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful friends and family. My voice is hoarse from talking on the phone so much to all of the people who have made such an impact on the woman I am today. Case is sick of me talking on the phone and not spending time with him so I am hoping I can blog to let everyone know what all is going on and new things that have been planned.
I think I caught everyone up to speed on everything and I will do my best to continue to update my blog when I can!
